how are you doing beautiful? Yes, even at your teenage years, you’re so beautiful and not suffering from the perils of acne breakouts and all those hormonal changes. I have a lot of stuff to tell you, it’s really packed, wish I could say all but would keep it to the minimum.
I know you have a lot of worries that keep you awake; such as how David moving on to Diane is breaking your heart because you thought your relationship was in fulfillment of the Bible scriptures at 1Kings 1:1-4 and how you were looking forward to becoming his forever.
I know its hurts but in some few years to come, this phase would be forgotten because you would have moved on, met new people and enjoyed life so cheer up baby girl. You and David would become goodfriends and even the Diane you hate now would also become one of your friends and a fashion designer who you buy dresses from. Ha-ha, sounds unbelievable huh? Believe me baby girl.

Those friends of yours? Marian, Serwaah, Maud, Philo, Olivia, Mavis, Grace, Hannah and Linda ? Keep them! The ride is going to be long and bumpy but believe me they would ALWAYS come through for you 100%. Your sense of judgement in choosing friends is keen and that’s what’s going to save and protect you throughout the years.

Did you know that your 20’s would be marked with a lot of highs and lows? More lows than highs but you would soon realize that it was preparing you for your 30’s?
Oh let me tell you girl, you did a lot of STUPID stuff! There were so many of them I want to smack you for, but it built you!!
Your character developed and you were resilient and refused to let life and its disappointments get to you. Did you know you didn’t finish UCC? Yesso you didn’t, might sound absolutely unbelievable but you didn’t, yes partly due to your stupidity and administrative issues but you know the beautiful thing? You went on to bag a Diploma and two Degrees in fields that fulfilled you and also took steps to becoming a LAWYER! Yes, a lawyer!
Your 20’s was wild Abena, you lived life! You fell in love and got broken hearted, you were betrayed by the people you loved. At a certain point in your 20’s while trying to find yourself, you were rudderless and it was heartbreaking seeing how you had so much to offer but weren’t utilizing your opportunities. You made mistakes but you learnt from them and built yourself up! You never forgot who you were and even though you strayed, you found your way back.
And oh you kissed some frogs, very ugly frogs! Girl what were you thinking?! 🤣
But you learnt from it and from that time onwards, you became decisive on what you did not want.
Your 20’s defined you, it shaped and gave you a solid foundation for your 30’s because life showed you shege in your 30’s! I kid you not! 😩You disappointed your mother and a lot of your loved ones but like the Phoenix, you rose above it all and became a better person.

Be kind to your 20’s body; You’re not fat as you have been made to think or you see yourself, you’re perfect! Your body is absolutely perfect ˟! Enjoy the body you’re in because when you grow, it would totally change and you would wish for the body you have now.
So dear Abby, do enjoy it while it lasts!
To the younger me, I’m writing from the future to let you know how proud I am of you. Despite all the mistakes and challenges, you encountered, you did good by yourself! Revel in it and let the good times roll! You chose a life, you did not just settle for it!
