Getting rejected is hard! It hurts you to the core!

It makes you question everything you believe in and all the work you’ve put into a relationship.

And when the rejection comes from an opportunity you’ve been looking forward to and worked hard for…damn the pain can cripple you and leave you breathless!

 And heartbreak?

Hey, it feels like your heart is literally breaking 😩.

Contrary to popular belief, it’s not only a breakdown of romantic relationships that can break your heart.

Your family and friends can also break your heart, especially when you trusted them and put them on a pedestal!

When experiencing a heartbreak you feel like your whole world is coming to an end, or has come to an end and life is not worth living anymore.

Nothing makes sense and you find yourself crying at odd times and for no reason.

Can you relate to any of the emotions and feelings described above? Sounds familiar right?

So I ask, how have you dealt with rejection or heartbreak in the past? Or if you are currently going through a heartbreak, how are you dealing with it?

I deal with heartbreak by sticking to my routine. Sounds difficult right?

Because really, all you want to do is curl up in bed and either cry your eyes out or sleep and hope to never wake up! Or eat till you drop dead!

As much as these activities are comforting, they are seriously counterproductive! And will probably make you more miserable!

No matter how bad the heartbreak I am going through is, I WILL myself out of bed every morning and either go for a jog or hit the gym!

The pain fuels the energy I need to get through a rigorous workout session, especially when all I want to do is cry! You can actually cry but hide it under the excuse of how hard or painful the exercise is 🤣.

I also bury my head in books! As most of you know, I love reading and books transport me to a different world where I can forget most of my problems and just enjoy the pages of the book.

Heartbreak hurts! And moving on is difficult because deep down you don’t really want to move on.

But… life must go on no matter how hard it may seem, and one way to do that is by sticking to the routine you know and enjoy!.

No matter how painful the heartbreak is, the world won’t stop for you. It’ll move on. And you can’t allow another human being’s conduct to have that much control over you.

So like me, when going through a heartbreak, wake up early and exercise. Or if you love to  read then immerse yourself in a good book.

No matter what, stick to your routine because the worst thing you can do to yourself is wallow in self-pity.

So tell me how do you deal with heartbreak?

Can you confidently say you’ve mastered the art of heartbreak and moving on? Or we should go to heblews? 😃

“It’s ok if you thought you were over it but it hits you all over again.

It’s ok to fall apart even after you thought you had it under control.
You are not weak.

Healing is messy, it takes time but eventually you will get there ”
